Who We Are

History

Established in 1896, the original San Diego Brewing Company was the largest manufacturing facility in the county. Located where the 32nd Street Naval Base stands today, the Brewery was ballyhooed by old Alonzo Horton himself as "the most important industrial enterprise" since he founded the town.

Everyone in the burgeoning town who could work up a thirst would agree: The San Diego Brewing Company produce the finest brews around. Their beers, whether out of the bottle or out of the tap, were said to "sparkle like nectar."

Today, the Brewmasters at the San Diego Brewing Company carry on the same tradition: Keep it simple and clean, use the highest quality ingredients. Most importantly, keep it fresh.

The San Diego Brewing Company has the largest draft selection in the county — 50 beers on tap every day! We also feature beer from other local brewpubs and microbreweries. No wonder it attracts beer enthusiasts from all over Southern California and beyond.
